Fr. Todd Molinari – Reassignment

April 5, 2014 - News & Events

From the Pastor

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

It is with regret and anticipation that I announce to you that I will be leaving St. Joseph Parish. Recently the Archbishop contacted me and appointed me to the office of Vicar of Clergy with the responsibilities and position of directing Clergy Personnel for the Archdiocese of Portland and overseeing the assignments and general welfare of the clergy of the Archdiocese. I accepted the appointment, effective July 1, 2014.

My time at St. Joseph Parish has been a tremendous gift and a great responsibility. Please know I will keep St. Joseph Church and all of you in my daily Masses and prayers. I want to sincerely thank our hard-working parish staff, our school principal and faculty, lay leaders, ministers and all who collaborate together in the mission of Christ. It has been my privilege to serve alongside such a fine and dedicated community of disciples.

I will, I am sure, leave St. Joseph Parish in the capable hands of a new Pastor who will be announced in the near future. Any pastoral transition and time of reassignment can be a time of uncertainty and speculation about the future. This is all quite natural, and yet a time of transition is also a time to practice gratitude toward one another for graces received and for the mission to which we are all committed through our Catholic Faith. All of our current projects in the parish and school that have been initiated will continue as planned, and our many ministries will continue with their various missions of discipleship. I am confident that your new Pastor will continue what we have together accomplished for the mission of Christ entrusted to us at St Joseph Parish and School.

Fr. Todd
