St. Joseph Parish Retreat (April 17 – 19, 2015)

The theme of the retreat is “Renewing the Presence of Jesus in Life.”

The retreat will continue our spiritual journey of Lent and Easter.
Many people from across the U.S. have found this retreat experience a valuable way to strengthen their spiritual life as Catholics.

Job Opening: Director of Faith Formation

St Joseph has an opening for a full-time bilingual (English-Spanish) Director of Faith Formation.

The position involves leadership, design, and implementation and evaluation of catechetical programs for children, youth, and adults (approximately 1,200 participants), in concert with other parish Faith Formation department staff and volunteers (about 150), with primary responsibility for children’s religious education.

Bilingual, master’s in Catholic theological discipline or pastoral ministry preferred, religious education experience at a Catholic institution (parish, school, or pastoral center), and other qualifications in job description. Must successfully complete background screening.

Faith in Art Exhibit – April 24-25, 2015

This exhibit is for art that expresses the faith of the artist or work that invites the viewer to consider faith through Beauty.

The exhibition will open on Friday, April 24, 2015.

6:00 p.m. – Wine Reception
7:00 p.m. – Keynote Speaker

$8 per person with reservation or $10 at the door.

For reservations, call 503-769-5905 by April 22. The gallery will be open Saturday, April 25 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for free.

Artists’ Information

The deadline for submitting applications is 7:00 p.m. on April 14, 2015.

We accept art in all media. Each artist may submit up to four original works. Art previously submitted will not be considered. Work should be complete, dry and ready for display or hanging. Two dimensional works should have appropriate frames and hanging wires. Works should not exceed thirty square feet. Three dimensional works should be submitted with a base or display case if possible.
