Please remember when you come to Open House to stop by the Media Center and visit the Book Fair.  We will be open from 6:00-7:00 pm.  The Book Fair will also be open before and after school Friday, Nov. 16.  During Parent-Teacher Conferences the Book Fair is open on Monday, Nov. 19 from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm and Tuesday, Nov. 20 from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.  All proceeds from the Book Fair go towards new books for our library.  Also, check out our on-line Book Fair -

All books bought at the on-line Book Fair also benefit the library, there is no shipping cost and the books are delivered to the school.

All students in grades 2-6 competed this week in the American Math Challenge.  This is a competition created by Mathletics.  Classes came to the Media center this week on Tuesday and Wednesday to compete.  It was a competition to improve basic math skills using speed and accuracy. Students completed activities and received points for each activity.  Their points were compiled over the two days and I will send home their results next week in the Tuesday folder.  Live Mathletics is an option that is always available to students to practice basic math facts.  If your student has completed their assigned activities and has extra time they can always access the “live” section and compete against other students for further enrichment.

Thank you to all the families that came to our preview night at the Open House.  The book fair continues this week.  The proceeds from the book fair go directly to buying new books for the library.  There are additional books available on-line at http://onlinebookfairs.scholastic.com/default.aspx?f=2899612.  We will be open Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday until 4:00pm in the Media Room.  On Thursday we will be open from 8am to 7pm during the Parent-Teacher Conferences and on Friday from 8am to 1pm.  If you are interested in purchasing books at your child’s reading level please talk to Mrs. Santibanez.  Hope to see you there!!!
