News – Second Grade “A”:

2A October 9, 2012 Newsletter

St. Joseph’s School 2A Parent Newsletter; October 9, 2012

Hello!

I want to congratulate students who had their September Memory Verse memorized.  The entire class did not have it memorized, so there was not a party… yet.  (Let’s work with our children to see that they DO have it memorized for this month of October!)  Read the rest of this entry…

188 pounds of food!

Thank you to all 2A students and parents for the 188 pounds of food we collected during Lent! We had a great field trip to the Marion Polk Foodshare last Friday and we were able to drop off and sort our donation.  44% of those served by MPFS are children – we learned how truly blessed we are and what a gift it was for us to be able to share with others!  Some of the highlights were touring the warehouse facility (the freezer was a favorite) and tasting the protein patties from Chef Steve and veggies from the edible garden!  Thank you to our drivers and chaperones too!!  ~Mrs. Duman

2nd Grade First Communion Retreat
