St. Joseph School Main Feed:

188 pounds of food!

Thank you to all 2A students and parents for the 188 pounds of food we collected during Lent! We had a great field trip to the Marion Polk Foodshare last Friday and we were able to drop off and sort our donation.  44% of those served by MPFS are children – we learned how truly blessed we are and what a gift it was for us to be able to share with others!  Some of the highlights were touring the warehouse facility (the freezer was a favorite) and tasting the protein patties from Chef Steve and veggies from the edible garden!  Thank you to our drivers and chaperones too!!  ~Mrs. Duman

Science Fair!

Dear Families,

Hello! I hope that you all had a wonderful Easter celebration! This is just a quick reminder that our Science Fair is coming up soon on April 20th.  Our class has been filled with news about fascinating projects that students are investigating.  Please be sure to encourage your child to actively work on his or her project! I’m looking forward to seeing all the experiments!  Thank you for all your help and support.

God Bless,

Miss Marcotte

April Happenings in Sixth Grade

Attention SJS Sixth Grade Parents,
Alleluia, Alleluia! This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it! Happy Easter!
I just wanted to call your attention to some of the things up and coming events in 6th grade. 1st to alert you that Outdoor School forms are due in to me this Friday, April 13th. Next to alert you that cookie dough forms are coming home with your child today. Encourage him/her to take active part in this fundraisers, as it is an opportunity for them to help deray the cost of Outdoor School camp, especially during these economic times. I also want to invite you to attend the SJ Science Fair on Friday, April 20th from 1-2:15 pm in the Parish Cafeteria. Do ask your child how his/her science fair project is coming. Know that your child is due to present his/her project to me and his/her classmates on Wed., April 18th and or on Thur. Apr. 19th in preparation for the event on Friday. Lastly, to let you know that Spring conferences will take place at the end of the month. Please note that I am most happy to meet and share your child’s progress with you.
Easter blessings, joy, and peace be with each of you.
Sr. Mary Ann
