Second Collection
Today’s second collection is being taken up for support of the school.Knights of Columbus Breakfast
The Knights of Columbus are hosting a breakfast after the 7:30 and 9:30 A.M. Masses. Proceeds will go to help support the school.Knights of Columbus Raffle
At the end of the Mass today, the Knights of Columbus will also be selling raffle tickets in back of the gym. The first place winner will win a pass to the Blazers game with an hour to play on the court. The second place winner will receive a prayer pack with a Bible and Rosary included. The third place winner will get a gift card. The proceeds from this raffle will be used to purchase jackets for children in need.Calendars

The Offices will be closed this Monday to observe the holiday for Martin Luther King Jr.Good New from the PastorI have some good news I've been meaning to share with all. We have purchased some land across the street for a new Priest Residence. Many of you may not know that two of our priests are living in apartments away from the parish. We would like to live closer. The opportunity came up last spring as a potential buy. With continued conversations between a member of our parish and the previous owner, we purchased the property at the end of August. The property is on Center Street across from the parking lot next to the house where the sisters live. We plan on building a multi-apartment residence for priests with the help of our architects and construction company currently working on the church. My hope is to invite some Senior priests to live with us in Salem alongside those priests assigned to St. Joseph. I believe with the additional clergy we will be able to supply the sacramental needs of the surrounding area when the assigned priestsbecome ill or take private time away from the parish. It will be good to live together with priests. Generous donors realized how important this project is to the parish, and they have stepped in to assist us in funding the project No money raised for the church repair is being used for tine priest residence. We look forward to this project moving forward in the future. I hope you have enjoyed the good news, and I hope to have time to publish more good news in the future. Enjoy Adent!Fr.
